We need help. CSF sells solar technology as one way to support our mission. We’re looking for someone to fill a part-time Sales & Inventory Support position. Ideally this person will be experienced or interested in clean energy (specifically solar) and enthusiastic about helping to mitigate climate change through the advancement of solar arrays in Wisconsin.

We’re a small team working at the frontlines of clean energyeducation and directly supportinginstallation of solar in Wisconsin. So even though your primary job will be supporting sales, if you are interested in learning more about solar technology and clean energy activities in Wisconsin, this is the job for you. CSF is located in Deerfield, WI and the duties of this position will be performed on site at our office and warehouse in Deerfield. Additionally, some limited travel to conferences or trade shows may be required.

Responsibilities

The Sales & Inventory Support role assists with sales and associated tracking and management of inventory. This includes:

  • Following up on sales leads in coordination with the sales team
  • Communicating with customers about their order, when needed
  • Preparing shipping estimates and setting up deliveries with carriers
  • Preparing orders for shipment and assisting with loading orders on the truck
  • Keeping the warehouse organized and periodically performing inventory
  • Maintaining accurate records of goods received, sales and shipment details
  • Filing paper documentation, including documenting product damage
  • Assisting with tracking and ordering parts to avoid backorders
  • Attending events to promote CSF and our products, including assisting with setting up and taking down our displays. 
  • Other tasks or duties as assigned by supervisor.

Necessary skills and qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or higher or High School/GED with 1-2 years of sales or renewable energy experience
  • This position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time with occasional walking; the ability to use both hands and wrists for repetitive motions; the ability to frequently be in low level positions, such as squatting, kneeling, or crouching; the ability to frequently use a ladder; the ability to lift and carry items up to 50-75 lbs.
  • Able to drive a forklift or be willing to be trained
  • Must have a valid driver’s license 
  • Must have proficient computer skills (We use Google Workspace)
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated and persistent
  • Good communication skills (responsive and willing to work with others for a good outcome)

  • Flexible – we’re a small team and it would be helpful to have someone who can fill in when needed on a variety of tasks
